U of M - Munger Graduate Residences

The University of Michigan began construction on its new fully furnished residential facility, Munger Graduate Residences, for graduate students in the spring of 2013. The $185 million project can house approximately 600 students in an apartment style layout. The first seven floors are home to multi-room apartments with private bathrooms, laundry rooms, multi-purpose dining and living spaces, and full kitchens. The building’s eighth floor provides community spaces for learning, recreational and communal activities.

Modular construction was used to build more than 730 prefabricated, private bathroom units. Intentio Innovations worked together with the BIM team to model the plumbing, mechanical piping, and electrical for the project. The 380,000-square-foot housing project was completed in the summer of 2015.
